Do AEGs really need special BBs? If it sounds like I'm being dumb, please pardon my noobing. I'm new to airsoft, and just trying to figure things out.

Just buy a bag of bb's with your gun. And it depends on the fps of your gun. If the fps is around 345-360 I advise you use .25 gram bb's. What ever you do, don't buy those craptastical quality bb's from Dick's.

if you get low quality bbs, your gun will jam and then you can screw up your gun.

TSD, PHX, Airsoft Elite, Madbull and Airsplats bbs have all worked for me. The Crossman .25 BBs are CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have tryed them and my gun jammed twice in one mag.

Yes, AEGs need "special BBs". NEVER use .12s. Use only high quality .20s, .23 and point .25s.

Thanks. What weight of BB out of the recommended ones and what brand do you recommend the most? (I was thinking about getting some .25g mad bulls with my JG when i get it)

Madbull BBs are some of the best BBs I have ever used. They shoot really good in my stock G&G M4. I highly recomend them.

I have been using KSC recently. I think they are better than Airsoft Elite.

airsoft elite have never jammed for me, neither has toy tech. But DO NOT reuse bbs, that will cause lots of jamming

TSDTactical is good, and Killer Beez .25 EF BBs are the best if you can find them.

I have also never had a jam with AEs, but this one website tested several brands of bbs and KSC was the best overall.
