The New Guitar Thread

ok since my other guitar topic was such a huge success i thought id made a new one. And (i know im going to get flammed for this but) i am considering getting a new guitar. A Ibanez RG2EX1 to be exact, i got a PM yesterday on ultimate-guitar about it and looked into it and its a great deal the guitar new is $300, I can get it for $240 with a gig bag and some kind of special strap. Or i can buy it for $200 with just the guitar, which is a better deal?

I'm telling you, just get a better amp. If you think your guitar sounds bad, it just may be your amps.

but you see when me and anthony(our lead) we werent using our amps and i was so out of tune, and i had just tuned it. Oh and for my birthday i am getting a better amp( Roland 20X )

Just to let you guys know, if you ever make a cd, I'll buy it. Not really........... but maybe........ no never mind..... just no. sry lol

well jacob we are trying to write some songs, we have a intro but no chorus or extro. An snip3r our lead is REALLY good, not slash level of course but he pulled me through Iron Man and it sounded ok and i am getting better everyday(by next week i should be the best)

Yeah, and I'm decent at bass, I just need $300 to buy a bass and an amp. lol

You guy sersiously are moving WAYYYYYYYYYYY TO fast. You don't even know how to play yet and you are already trying to buy a new guitar and write songs. I can agree with the new guitar thing, but seriously, you shouldn't even be trying to write songs yet. Have you even had 1 guitar lesson yet?

I'm not trying to sound like a jerk, but you guys should learn how to play before you try to start a band.

well its too late for that, we've already been challenged. and i am not writing the songs our lead is, i tried my head hurt afterwards

UPDATE: this sucks i mean really sucks, i was just about to buy this guitar, an Ibanez RG2EX1, and i looked and someone had already bought it. Man now im mad i was going to save about $60

Sell the one you have now, and get a Dean, hehehehehe those are BEAST.

Save up for a Les Paul

all(most) Les Pauls in my price range are (some) of the worst guitars, its sorta like if you bought a gibson and then bought a Squire
