| Yes get a teacher for sure
If you are serious about guitar and you actually want to be able to do more than just play songs, get a teacher.

| I would say get a teacher, IMO a private teacher, that works for themselves teaches a little better than teachers that work at a store, or a music facility etc.. | |

| Yes private teachers are much better. With a private teacher, you get more attention than you would with an um..........non private teacher. (lol, I can't think of the word) | |

| How can you say mountian biking is more fun? Unless you can play guitar well, you can't say it's more fun. lol They are to TOTALLY different hobbies. Mountain biking gives you adrenaline, but music gives you a satisfaction of knowing you can't do something most people can't. I can't express enough how rewarding it is when you figure out a song by ear, or you write a song. | |

I knew someone was going to say that and I agree. I think biking is more fun, and it is for me, but if you can play an insument that can be fun too. Basically, I am just jealous that I am musicly disabled.

I didn't mean to come off harsh. I'm sorry if that's how I sounded. The truth is, everyone can play guitar as long as you work really hard. Some people are naturally talented, but several great guitarists were actually not talented at all. They just worked EXTREMELY hard.
